Shut-In

Why "shut-in" you ask? Temps are again in the triple digits and what better excuse to stay in and sew. Except for brief trips out to take care of my dog's needs, I'm sewing.

I have some UFO's I'm working on, and I have a few finishes to share.

This is the last of the half square triangle blocks! I will finish sewing the rows together today.

Here is a backing I pieced for this top. I used chunks of fabric left over from piecing the blocks.

Stash reduction in action. Woo-hoo!

Here is one of the finished tops. The other should be finished by the end of the day today.

And........this top is finally done!

I have worked on it off and on for over a year and I felt like I really couldn't start any new projects until I finished it. It feels good to have it done and ready to send it off to be quilted. It is 90" square and more that I want to wrestle with using my sewing machine.

I like to sew my own bindings on, so once it comes back and I've got the bindings on I'll take pictures.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I like that border, simple but stunning with the center.

I'm not is 'school' really, I'm taking courses to keep my registered nursing assistant license up to snuff.
hugs, Sharyn
