How I Wake Up in the Morning...
I don't need an alarm clock.
I sleep on my stomach on the edge of the bed, facing out and am awakened every single morning with a wet kiss from my dog ~ which I hate....which makes me go ecccchhhhhhhhh! I turn away from the edge of the bed, wipe off my cheek, and turn in towards the center. She jumps up on the bed and settles in with her back against my front, spooning, ~ she immediately falls sound asleep.
I, on the other hand, am awake.
Usually I lay there a while, figure out my next move, and then slowly I ease out and get on with my day. She backs up until she's in the warm spot I left, and stays there until I make her get down so I can make the bed. That's how it is in our house.
What gets you moving in the morning?

I finally just run out of bed. Xavier, Xing-xing, Conway, Pembroke, and Jessie James all vie for the spot between us, us being the ultimate losers at the wigglepush game :) All the best in the new year and happy quilting, Sharyn/KalamaQuilts
Gah, I hate getting up. I have not slept in even once since Jack was born!
Some mornings I say "Thank you". And those are the best days. The best way to start my morning is to acknowledge that I can't do all of this myself. Remembering to be thankful is key. I usually have the help of my blasted alarm clock with someone like Rod Stewart coaxing me out of bed so I can make him stop singing to me. I don't like Rod Stewart in the morning :) Or any other time of day. I miss you and love you Susan!
